Like the fans, even the cricketers are missing being on the field and do what they do best. It has been a long time since the cricketing action has been halted courtesy COVID-19 pandemic.
It is a standstill all around the world and cricketers have found solace in the form of live sessions to stay connected with their fans. however, India’s leaving T20 bowler Yuzvendra Chahal amidst the lockdown has revealed a funny nickname of him which was given by none other than the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni.
In an Instagram post shared by the leg-spinner, he revealed MS Dhoni used to call him ’tilli’ which means a stick. g
He posted an image of him with MS Dhoni and captioned;
“Miss being called tilli behind the stumps by the legend..!!”
It is obvious, being a wicket-keeper MS Dhoni is quite vocal while maneuvering the field settings and the stumps mic always catches the 38-year old, as the senior-pro is always seen giving advice to the leggy from behind the stumps.
There’s no good news coming for MSD fans as there is no certainty over the return of the ‘Thala’ in national colors. Dhoni last featured for India in the 2019 Cricket World Cup semifinals where India’s heartbreaking loss was nothing but grief to supporters all around the globe.
That was the last time when we saw the wicket-keeper in action, however, he was supposed to feature in this IPL, but the lockdown extension has put a question mark yet again on his return.
As the ardent fans, we all want MS Dhoni to grace the cricket field sooner rather then later, but it still remains to see what Dhoni is up to next.
