Vitality Blast is the original T20 league that began way before any other country even thought about it. The competition was established by ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) in 2003. The league includes total 18 teams which are divided into two groups, termed as the North Group and the South Group. The competition will be played from 4th July to 15th September.

Both the teams are starting the T20 Blast campaign with this match. Yorkshire is worst-hit by ongoing England fixtures since they are missing their major players. Yorkshire will not have the services of Adil Rashid, David Willey and Liam Plunkett. Their overseas signing Kane Williamson, the orange cap winner of the IPL 2018, will also miss out on the first few matches.

On the other hand, Durham has a strengthened side. They are led by the New Zealander Tom Latham. They also have the South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir ready for his debut. Another immense boost is that of Ben Stokes, the all-rounder will play in this match for vying a spot against India in the ODIs.
