Yuvraj Singh made an appearance in a video along with former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi. The two all rounders were seen together in Dubai where they are promoting the Expo Dubai Cricket Tournament. The video in which Yuvraj is seen with Afridi has surfaced in the latter’s YouTube channel and since then has been viral in social media.
Yuvraj thanked the Pakistani fans in a wholehearted manner
In the video, the dashing Pakistani is seen conducting a light hearted interview with the Indian southpaw. During the course of the interview, Afridi had asked Yuvi what gave him the motivation to make a comeback after a life threatening cancer had pecked him back. To that he replied
I received a lot of love and support from Pakistan. I received a lot of love from India too but I will like to especially thank Pakistani fans for that
He also spoke a lot about other things but this statement warmed the hearts of die hard fans of Yuvraj and neutrals alike.
A legend in his own right!
Yuvraj Singh who retired from international cricket last year was a legend in his own right. He has over 11,000 international runs to his name. He had the knack of stepping up at crucial hours for the nation as is evident from his performances in T20 world cup 2007 and also the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. Yuvi was the man of the tournament when India won the prestigious trophy in 2011.
Playing leagues all over the world
The southpaw after announcing his retirement has kept himself busy by playing leagues all around the world. He played in the Global Canada T20 league last year where he captained Toronto Nationals and even went on to win the title. Yuvraj Singh has also agreed to play in the Bushfire bash which is a charity game to raise funds for the massive fires that destroyed the shores of Australia. The game is scheduled to happen on 8th of February 2020.
