Team India’s batsman Shreyas Iyer has found a new way to keep up with his fielding practice at home in the lockdown. In the latest video shared on Instagram, Shreyas Iyer could be seen catching random objects at home thrown at him by his family members. Those family members intend to catch him unawares.
In the latest post shared on his Instagram account, the Delhi Capitals skipper could be seen diving to catch an egg with one hand and a TV remote which was thrown at him. He is also stopping chairs like he stops deliveries near the boundary rope and gets smacked on the face while trying to catch clothes thrown at him with one-hand. Iyer captioned the video, “Fielding practice is everywhere you look”

Indian cricketer and the elder Pandya brother – Krunal Pandya has reacted on the Shreyas Iyer’s post. He reacted with 2 ‘nice’ emojis alongside 1 ‘hug’ emoji. Krunal’s teammate from Mumbai Indians, Ishan Kishan also joined him in the comments section and laughed out loud.

Iyer has now become the mainstay in the Indian middle-order in the limited-overs format. The Mumbai batsman has performed consistently at the number 4 to solve India’s middle-order woes. He also had a wonderful New Zealand tour where he amassed 153 runs averaging 51 in the 5-game T20I series. Shreyas was also the top-scorer for the Indian side in the ODIs as the batsman scored a total of 217 runs at an average of 72.33 in the 3-match ODI series.
Shreyas Iyer was appointed the skipper of Delhi Capitals a couple of years back and the youngster was all set to lead his side in the IPL 2020 edition before the coronavirus pandemic hit.
