India’s vice-captain in the limited-overs format, Rohit Sharma has picked the tougher bowler to face in nets between Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah. During a conversation with India Women cricketers Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues, Rohit Sharma revealed that Mohammad Shami is a tough guy to face in the nets.
On the occasion of his 33rd birthday, Sharma appeared on the video chat show of the Indian women cricketers – Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues named double trouble. When asked upon who is the tough bowler to bat against between Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami, The Hitman was quick to name Shami as the trickiest to face in the nets.
Rohit Sharma said –
The pitches we have for net sessions are almost always green with moisture. And whenever Shami sees a green pitch, he eats extra biryani! Bumrah is also difficult but he has been around only for two-three years. Shami, I have been playing since 2013. But yeah, right now there must be a competition going on between Bumrah and Shami, on who beats the bat most, who can hit the most on the helmets.
