A bizzare dismissal accounts for opener Hassan Azad

The first day first hour is always a difficult time to bat in a red ball match more so in a match in England. The openers always have a tough job at their hands and each player will have his own way to negate the threat of a new ball. One popular approach adopted by many batsmen is playing outside the crease to a new ball bowler to negate the swing on offer.

On the penultimate delivery of the eighth over being bowled by Luis Reece when Hassan Azad comfortably left a delivery outside his off-stump. But the sheer presence of mind and excellent game awareness combined with a bit of carelessness from the batsman led to the wicket of Hassan Azad. Derbyshire Wicket-keeper Harvey Hosein hurled an underarm throw right on target with his gloves after collecting the ball to catch batsman Hassan Azad short of his crease which is a bizzare dismissal – a stumping of a fast bowler.
