Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli is known for his aggressive behavior on the field. In one such incident in the IPL 2020 Eliminator against Sunrisers Hyderabad, RCB captain was on the receiving end of the on-field banter.
RCB were at their best in the knockout game on Friday, managing to put up a sub-par total of 131 for 7. In reply, SRH chased down the set total in the last over although RCB bowlers did put up a fight and dragged the game to the wire.
It was the third over of SRH’s innings when Manish Pandey was facing Mohammed Siraj. The RCB players were heard chirping all around SRH batsman and tried to exert pressure on him. Virat Kohli joined in and decided to throw a sledge at Pandey. The RCB skipper was heard saying: “Aaj nahi maar raha shot.” (Not playing shots today)
Pandey was not timing the ball off the middle of the bat but got irked by Kohli’s comment. Pandey took Siraj on and slammed a massive six just one ball later to leave Kohli embarrassed. Here’s the clip of the incident:

After the controversial decision of David Warner, Kane Williamson and Jason Holder steadied the ship for SRH. The contest went down to the wire but the duo kept their calm in the chase. With the win, SRH has progressed to Qualifier 2 and will play Delhi Capitals on 8 November for a spot in IPL final. On the other hand, RCB are eliminated as they ended their tourney with five defeats on the bounce.
