When a legendary batsman like AB De Villiers is on song, there is very little that a bowler can do irrespective of the quality of the bowler. That’s what happened to Jasprit Bumrah when the superman from South Africa gave no respect to Jasprit Bumrah whatsoever. It is safe to say that Jasprit Bumrah was schooled by AB de Villiers.

The sheer quality of AB de Villiers was on display in the 10th game of IPL 2020 in Dubai. He made a mockery of MI’s bowling attack that had some big names such as Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah and James Pattinson. The alluring aspect of AB de Villiers’s innings was the way he struck those fours and sixes of quality deliveries.

AB de Villiers picked the bones of it

One stand out shot of Mr.360’s knock was the one that he hit of Jasprit Bumrah where he picked the length early and deposited into the deep mid-wicket for a 90m six. Jasprit Bumrah did little to no mistake and it was AB de Villiers who converted the good ball into a bad ball.

The ball was bowled into the wicket and angled in towards the body of the batsman but the former South Africa captain made it look easy. He scored a whopping 27 runs from 8 balls of the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah that included 2 fours and 3 maximums.

The captain Virat Kohli was spot on

Virat Kohli, the batsman is struggling for runs but as a captain, he brought his A game against Mumbai Indians. He was spot on with his moves and used his bowlers well. More importantly, he was at a situation where he didn’t have the need to look for the 6th bowling option.

The TamilNadu born Washington Sundar was the most underrated performer of the match amidst AB de Villiers, Ishan Kishan and Kieron Pollard. He bowled his first 3 overs when the field restrictions were in place and absolutely tied down the MI batsmen for nothing. He finished his figures with 4 overs for 12 runs and 1 wicket on a pitch where over 400 runs were scored.
