The Australian captain though made some horrendous decisions in the 1st T20I against England in Southampton, he took apart Adil Rashid for a mammoth six over long on that fell into the top-tier of the stands.

England are hosting their arch rivals in Australia for a brief limited overs series before IPL that includes 3 match T20Is and 3 match ODIs. The first match of the T20I series happened yesterday which turned out to be a disappointing start for the visitors after having been in the driver’s seat for almost 80% of the game time.
Australia were cruising along at one stage when they were chasing a target of 162 runs on a wicket that didn’t have true bounce which made the life of the batsmen difficult. Australia were 73 for no loss in 8.2 overs when Aaron Finch showed no mercy to the bowler Adil Rashid where he launched a 104-meter six over long on.
Adil Rashid tried to bowl the wrong’un but the Australian captain picked it from the hand and thrashed it with ease.

Eventually Aaron Finch got out to Jofra Archer when he tried to hit one over mid-off but couldn’t clear the field and got out for a well made 46 from 32 balls.
Australia then slumped to an embarrassing defeat after needing 30 runs from 4 overs, they couldn’t go past the finishing line courtesy some extraordinary bowling from England bowlers and some ordinary batting by Australian batsmen.
The game was all but gone for England when Aaron Finch and David Warner were batting but England bowlers were reluctant with the impeccable line and length and pulled things back in a smart way to make Australia look silly towards the end where Australians bottled in a poor manner.
One of the most underrated performances that went unnoticed was the all round performance of Chris Jordan where he scored a crucial 14 runs from 8 balls coming in at #8 and his bowling figures read 3 overs for 23 runs to go with an all important catch of Aaron Finch and effected a crucial run out in the penultimate over to send Ashton Agar back.
The 2nd T20I happens in the same ground on Sunday with England leading the game 1-0, it will be interesting to see how Australians approach this game.
