This is the inaugural Global T20 Tournament which is being played in the country of Canada. Along with five regional Canadian teams, there is a special Windies-B team. We are still in the initial phase of the tournament where the team has played a match with each other.

Vancouver Knights played the first match of the tournament. Despite scoring a mammoth 227 in the first innings, the Knights conceded a loss. With spectacular innings of 97 from the opener Evin Lewis and late slaughter from Andre Russell, VK got to the great score. Notable failures were Gayle and Chadwick Walton. Their bowler was dismal including Tim Southee and they went down by six wickets.

Winnipeg Hawks had a winning start to their campaign. Their four big batting names delivered as Lendl Simmons, Ben McDermott, Darren Bravo and David Miller all contributed. The major failure was David Warner who was out the second ball. The total of 203 was defended well by Dwayne Bravo, Ali Khan and Junaid Siddiqui.
