This is the forth match of third season of Tamil Nadu Premier league 2018 between Tuti Patriots and VB Kanchi Veerans, Tuti Patriots is one of the most successful team in TNPL, they were the champions of 2016 edition and runners up in 2017, they have the highest average winning percentage in the entire TNPL Seasons under the captaincy of Dinesh Karthik, but this time they have not retained him as he will be committed to Indian Squad and one of the main bowler Washington Sundars absence will be a headache for their bowling unit.

On the other side VB Kanchi Veerans did not perform well in their last two seasons of TNPL, as they finished 6^th in season 1 and 5^th season 2, so in this season they will look to perform well, but they have to face the most successful team in the league in their first match, They have the best bowling coach unit including Muttiah Muralitharan and Bharat Arun, but they lack in big names in the team, Captain Baba Aparchit have to lead with the young talents in the team and look for more perfect probable X1 in this match,

Previously when this both team met each other Tuti Patriots won the both the matches against VB Kanchi Veerans, both the teams will try to start their campaign with a win in TNPL 2018.
