Former Australian cricketer Tom Moody has named young prodigy Shubman Gill as the standout player in the young Indian Talent pool. He also named Ravindra Jadeja as the best Indian fielder and legendary leg-spinner Anil Kumble as his favorite Indian spinner. Moody was answering fans’ questions during the Q&A session on Twitter. Moody took Twitter on Saturday morning to answer the questions of his followers.
When a Twitter user asked the former Sunrisers Hyderabad coach who is the best youngster in India in the last few years, Moody named Punjab batsman Shubman Gill as the standout player. Gill represented Kolkata Knight Riders in the last season and the franchise has retained the talented youngster.
Moody also answered a variety of questions during the Q&A session. When asked upon which team is his favorite in the IPL other than SRH and who is his favorite captain in the IPL, he named MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings.
Former Sri Lanka coach named Indian skipper Virat Kohli as his favorite cricketer in the current Indian team and Ravindra Jadeja as his favorite Indian fielder. He also named former leg-spinner ‘Jumbo’ as his favorite Indian spinner.
When a fan questioned him about his favorite moment when he was the head coach of the Sri Lankan team, Tom Moody said that playing the World Cup final in 2007 is his favorite moment from the coaching stint with the Sri Lankan cricket team.
He also named Rohit Sharma and David Warner as the best T20 opening batsmen in the World.
What’s next for Tom Moody?
Tom Moody is no longer the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad as he was replaced by Trevor Bayliss ahead of the 2020 edition. However, he is the head coach of Multan Sultans in the PSL 2020.
