After a minuscule win over Surrey, the Sussex Sharks will be out for their second game of the season and their opponents this time around will be Kent who have lost both their games so far. This would be a South Group game which will be played at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury.
Kent hasn’t started the way they would have desired. Losing both their opening games is definitely not the way to go and they will look to make their way back to the winning ways sooner rather than later. Their first loss of the season came against Hampshire by 90 runs, whereas, their second loss came against Somerset in a humiliating manner by 264 runs.
Sussex Sharks escaped with a narrow win against Surrey in their tournament opener. Surrey posted a competitive total of 274 runs on the board courtesy a valiant 64 from Ben Foakes and 56 from Will Jacks. Mir Hamza struck four blows with the ball for Sussex and ensured Surrey did not get over 300.
Sharks replied with all-rounder Davi Wiese’s unbeaten 92 from 81 deliveries which included 14 fours. Luke Wright aided him pretty well with 69 runs from 83 deliveries but it was David Wiese who ensured his team was over the line with 11 balls to spare.
