Sydney Thunders won their only match against Melbourne Renegades by 6 wickets. Bowling first, They restricted Renegades at just 98 runs with their top-notch bowling attack. Rene Farrell took three wickets and was supported by all other bowlers. They chased the target on loss of four wickets with R Haynes and N Stanleberg scoring 27 and 26 each. They will hope for a similar performance against Mighty Sydney Sixers team.

Sydney Sixers showed their team strength against Perth Scorchers after their poor defeat in first match. They defeated Scorchers by 6 wickets. Bowling first, Spin Duo of Niekerk and Lauren Smith were in top form taking three and two wickets respectively to restrict them at 167. Ellyse Perry showed her brilliance with bat scoring an unbeaten century to ensure the win for the team. A Gardner and Dane Van Niekerk also scored 26 and 32* respectively. They will hope to continue their domination and defeat Sydney Thunders.
