Hashim Amla: Be it one-days or test, Hashim Amla is a class player, and with his sound technique he can score runs on any day. He is particularly comfortable against subcontinent bowlers and will be happy to score big.
Kagiso Rabada: In absence of his senior South African bowlers this player has evolved to a whole another level. His line and length impeccable, and he is likely to take wickets in bulks.
Mustafizur Rahman: with his mixture of fast paced deliveries and slower ones, Mustafizur Rahman’s ODI record gets better day by day. Adding that to his perfect line-length, and he is a force to reckon with. He would be the most important player for Bangladesh against South Africa.
Diamond oval typically favours bowlers. The average scores are around 230 and 250, with weather supposed to be cloudy, it might turn out to be a low scoring match.
South Africa:
With captain Faf leading the side, biggest news for South Africa is the return of Ab De Villiers in the international circuit. He’s been out of action for some while, but still one of the best in the world. As has always been, De Kock and Amla will take opening duties, JP Duminy has been able to claim a place in squad, and Temba Bavuma is also included. This series might also mark the debut of Dane Paterson.
In the absence of Morne Morkel and Chris Morris, Rabada and Phelukwayo will charge the bowling. Keshav Maharaj is also not in the squad, making Imran Tahir a lone spin option.
Bangladesh:
Captain Mortaza would like to change the fate of his side in one day cricket. Liton Das and Mominul Haque was called in for the 16 men squad. Nasir Hussain is also being called back. This means that Mosaddek Hossain, Sunzamul Islam, Shafiul Islam will not be playing in the ODI series.
Tamim Iqbal is Back for practice after injury and will have a fitness test on match day. If he will fit then only he will play.
Mustafizur Rahman Ruled out From 1st ODI with an ankle injury during Training session and will be doubtful for the rest of the match.
Bangladesh would like an in form Shakib Al Hasan to fire in both the departments. In bowling department Mustafizur Rahman is the key on South African fast paced pitches.
