The recent incident of ball tampering was seen in the test match against Sri Lanka and Windies. Sri Lanka captain Dinesh Chandimal is suspended after he was found guilty for breaching ICC Code of Conduct. Video evidence showed that Chandimal took sweet from his pocket and kept it in his mouth before applying it to the ball with an intention alter the ball’s condition. Danushka Gunathilaka is expected to replaced Chandimal and Suranga Lakmal would be leading the squad for the 3rd test.

Windies are leading the series with 1 crucial win in first test match with winning margin of 226 runs. The second match resulted in a draw. The 3rd test is set to be day/ night match and would be played with pink ball.
