South Africa team got a thumping victory over Sri Lanka in second ODI defeating them by 113 runs. Batting first, Quinton De Kock played another brilliant knock of 94 runs in 70 balls and was supported by skipper Faf Du Plessis who scored 57 runs to give a target of 252 to Sri Lanka. Thisara Perera took three wicket-haul while Dhananjaya De Silva and Malinga took two scalps each to collapse South Africa team in 45 overs.

Chasing the target, Sri Lankan batsmen did not bat well and were collapsed on 138 runs. Oshada Fernando, Kusal Mendis and Thisara Perera got starts but failed to convert it into a big knock. Rabada shined with the ball for Hosts taking three wickets while Ngidi, Nortje and Tahir took two scalps each.

Sri Lanka will need to display a better batting performance tomorrow to stay alive in the series while South Africa will also expect unison effort from all teammates and seal the series in third ODI. Both teams are finding an optimum 15-men Squad for World Cup 2019.

Akila Dananjaya will lead the spin attack along with Dhananjaya De Silva while K Rajitha and Lasith Malinga will be the key pacers along with Thisara Perera. Avishka Fernando can support them.

Opener Avishka Fernando is likely to get another chance to prove his talent. However, Experience of Upul Tharanga can also be helpful for the team if he returns to the playing XI.

Dwaine Pretorius can replace Wiaan Mulder after his brilliant performance in Momentum One Day cup.

Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks will open the innings. Faf du Plessis, R van der Dussen and D Miller will follow them. W Mulder/D Pretorius and A Phehlukwayo will play the role of an all-rounder.
