Sri Lanka needed a miracle if they were to defeat South Africa in the first Test and Perera duly delivered it. Kusal Perera’s unbeaten 153 will be mentioned a lot in the coming years. Considering the circumstances and the conditions it was played it, the inning remains an all-time classic.
A draw or a win in the second Test will see Sri Lanka create history. No Asian team has even won a Test series on the South African soil. 1-0 up in the two-match series, SL has a golden chance to claim the record. Apart from Perera, Sri Lanka had other heroes as well. Vishwa Fernando, Kasun Rajitha and Lasith Embuldeniya all impressed with the ball.

Hashim Amla’s bad patch is hurting the team. The batting has been found short on many occasions, they need to show up to prevent the series loss.
