Hello and Welcome to our preview for Sri Lanka vs South Africa ODI match. We are covering SL vs SA Dream 11 team Prediction, Preview and Probable Playing XI for the first ODI match. The match is to be played at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
Sri Lanka will be buzzing with momentum after their test series victory over South Africa even after having such an inexperienced side. They have a poor form in ODI format in recent times but will be keen to give a tough challenge to South Africa. Lasith Malinga along with the batsmen had a good practice match and will be determined to replicate it in the five-match series. They will try to give chances to new players in order to find a perfect squad to despatch to England.
Team South Africa had a poor test series and will be eager for revenge against confident Sri Lankan side. Skipper Faf Du Plessis will hope to cover all bases as this will be their last ODI series before World Cup 2019. Expectations will be high on Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks, Dussen, Faf and Miller to score plenty of runs. Talented allrounder Andile Phehlukwayo along with pace battery of Rabada, Steyn, Ngidi and debutant Nortje will also be eager to display their lethal pace.
A good encounter can be expected between both teams.

In Practice match, Lasith Malinga starred with the ball taking five wicket haul while K Rajitha took two scalps. Avishka Fernando, Upul Tharanga, Kusal Mendis and Oshada Fernando came good with the bat.
Akila Dananjaya returns after getting his bowling action ratified.
Niroshan Dickwella and Upul Tharanga will open the innings. Oshada Fernando, Kusal Perera and Kusal Mendis will follow them.
Dhananjaya de Silva and Thisara Perera will play the role of allrounder.
Akila Dananjaya will lead the spin attack along with Dhananjaya De Silva while V Fernando and Lasith Malinga will be the key pacers along with Thisara Perera and anyone among Rajitha/Udana.
Isuru Udana returns to the ODI circuit after 9 years and can play in place of Kasun Rajitha. Chances of same are less.
South Africa:
Batting Allrounder Wihann Mulder is likely to be preferred over D Pretorius to strengthen the batting department.
There is also slight chance of South Africa resting anyone of Test pacer among Steyn and Rabada handing Anrich Nortje his first international debut.
Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks will open the innings. Rassie van der Dussen, Faf du Plessis and David Miller will follow them.
W Mulder and Andile Phehlukwayo will play the role of the all-rounder.
Dale Steyn, Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi will lead the pace attack along with A Phehlukwayo and W Mulder. Reeza Hendricks can support them. Imran Tahir or Tabraiz Shamsi will be the key spinner.
Imran Tahir has been scarce on wickets in recent times but is likely to begin spin proceedings in first ODI.
