After drawing the test series by 1-1, Sri Lanka and New Zealand will now try to find victories in the shortest format of the sport. The 1st T20 game is scheduled to be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele.

The first test saw the host taking the fully advantages and took a 1-0 lead, defeating Kiwis by 6 wickets. Well, in the second Test Kiwis bounced back strongly and won the game one-sided to level the series.

The Kiwis called off their first inning for 431 runs and then later restricted the Lankans for 244 to gain the lead by 187 runs. Kiwis again displayed an outstanding performance with the ball and wrapped up the second innings at mere 122 runs. This led in hosts’ defeat.
