Hello and Welcome to our preview for Sri Lanka vs New Zealand ODI match. We are covering SL vs NZ Dream 11 team Prediction, Preview and Probable Playing XI for the third ODI match. The match is to be played at the Saxton Oval, Nelson.
The second ODI between New Zealand and Sri Lanka was one to remember. New Zealand had posted 319/7 while batting first and reduced Sri Lanka to 128/7 in reply. Thisara Perera, the superhero, struck a belligerent 140 from 74 balls to bring the visitors closer. They fell only 21 runs shorter.
New Zealand enjoyed solid contributions from Colin Munro (87) and Ross Taylor (90) with the bat. Later, Jimmy Neesham once again provided the late burst and scored 64 from 37 balls. Ish Sodhi was outstanding with the ball as grabbed three wickets. Henry and Neesham earned two wickets each.
Out of seven New Zealand wickets to fall, four were run outs. Malinga led the bowling effort from the front with two wickets. Nuwan Pradeep took the only remaining wicket. Before Thisara Perera’s great show, Gunathilaka chipped in with a 71 run knock at the top.

The last ODI played here was in January 2018. Pakistan batted first and scored 246/9 in their 50 overs. Lockie Ferguson picked up three wickets. The rain kept NZ’s chase down to only 25 overs but thanks to Guptill’s 86 not out they won comfortably.

This is the last match of the series and the result is already decided. Both the teams are likely to make many changes.
Sri Lanka:
Angelo Mathews misses out due to injury. He won’t take part in the remaining tour.
With the aim of equalling the series, SL made no changes in the second ODI. In the dead rubber, they may make multiple replacements.
Two specific trial spots will be the spinner (S Prasanna) and another medium pacer all rounder (Asela Gunaratne).
Gunathilaka and N Dickwella will open the innings. Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis and Dinesh Chandimal form middle order.
Asela Gunaratne is likely to sit out for Dasun Shanaka. Dhananjaya de Silva can also replace Seekkuge Prasanna.
Lahiru Kumara, D Chameera or Kasun Rajitha may get an opportunity.
Thisara Perera, Lasith Malinga and Lakshan Sandakan should be playing this match.
New Zealand:
Doug Bracewell is the only player yet to play a game. He should feature in this game.
New Zealand brought back Tim Southee in the last match in place of L Ferguson because of his extra workload.
Martin Guptill and Colin Munro will open the innings. Williamson, Taylor and Nicholls will handle the rest of the batting department.
Jimmy Neesham will be the all-rounder. Sodhi remains the lone spinner.
Doug Bracewell may replace Matt Henry. Lockie Ferguson was rested in the last ODI, he may replace Trent Boult.
