India and Sri Lanka are set to clash in the third and final T20I of the SL vs IND 2024 bilateral series. This series has marked the first T20I series win for Suryakumar Yadav as full-time captain and new coach Gautam Gambhir. With the series already secured, India will aim for a clean sweep in the final match on Tuesday.

In the second T20I, India chased down a revised target with nine balls to spare. Despite Sanju Samson falling for a first-ball duck, the trio of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya ensured a comfortable victory for the visitors. The Indian bowlers, led by Ravi Bishnoi, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, and Arshdeep Singh, restricted Sri Lanka to just 31 runs in the last five overs of their innings, taking crucial wickets at regular intervals. Kusal Perera (53) and Pathum Nissanka (32) top-scored for Sri Lanka.
