Rohit Sharma says enough is enough on the speculations of a rift with Virat Kohli.
As India endured a shocking defeat at the hands of the Kiwis in the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup, a lot of controversial things that started to take centre stage since India’s loss.
The major thing that came into the limelight was the reports of a rift between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Rohit Sharma who is recently on a break from International cricket was spotted saying that it feels hurt when people involve families to criticize him.
“Our families are there to support us, make us feel happy. When all these things were written about, few of my friends came and told me and believe me or not: I was just laughing.
But then it went on and on, and they dragged my family, and that was not on. You talk about me but don’t drag my family as they genuinely don’t care about anything else. I think even Virat must have felt the same way as families are an important aspect of our lives”.
When Ravi Shastri was asked about the rift between Kohli and Rohit, the Team India coach dismissed it saying there is no truth whatsoever in the speculations. The Indian captain himself has made it clear that there is no such rift between him and the Indian Vice-captain.
Rohit Sharma has been given rest as part of the workload management as he has been playing cricket continuously since IPL. He was not named in the 15 member squad for the Sri Lankan series but Rohit will play the important 3 match ODI series against Australia later this month.
