Hyderabad will try to stay in the top two, while for Bangalore it is a question of survival.
In their last match, Bangalore won by 10 wickets. That was a first 10 wicket victory for IPL 2018. They got it against none other that in-form Punjab. With brilliant bowling from Yadav, Chahal and Siraj, Punjab got out on just 85. Not competitive at all. Umesh Yadav took 3 wickets giving away just 23 runs in his 4 overs. Then came a new opening pair for RCB, Parthiv Patel along with Virat Kohli chased down the said target in just 8.1 overs. Scoring 40 and 48 respectively.
Sunrisers lost their last match by 8 wickets. Batting first, they made 179 runs, which was a good total if you ask anyone. Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson batted beautifully, scoring 79 and 51 respectively. Deepak Hooda’s 21 were handy contribution down the order. But they lost the plot while bowling, when Ambati Rayudu scored a century and they just had no answer to him. Rashid Khan bowled economically, but couldn’t take wickets. The only wicket came from Sandeep Sharma, who took Raina’s wicket cheaply.
