RCB lost their season opener against KKR at Eden Gardens, though they might be happy with how the batting unit is working out for them. With Brendon McCullum and De Kock opening, and Virat and De Villiers to follow, they don’t have any worries with the willow. It’s when they have leather in their hands, they suffer. Equipped with the bowlers of the calibres of Washington Sundar and Chahal, they are yet to find a good bowling combination. Batting is their strong suit.
KXIP won by 6 wickets bowling first against the Daredevils. Captain Ravichandran Ashwin lead the bowling unit from the front with an economy of 5.75, however it was the youngster Mujeeb Ur Rahman who stole the show with his 2 wickets. Chasing 166, Lokesh Rahul went berserk to score his 50 in just 16 balls opening the batting and the chase, just with the right grace. Down the order, Karun Nair also made a half century of his own to take Punjab home. They will want more fire from the batsmen like Yuvraj and Miller though.
