Cricket is a batsman game. This is a popular clichéd sentence that every follower of the game would have come across. In the era of big bats small boundaries flat drop-in pitches ruling the game, one bowler who has carved out a name for himself is young sensation from Afghanistan Rashid Khan.

Rashid Khan has earned a reputation as one of the difficult bowlers to score heavily in the T20 game. He has all the variations like the googly the flipper and the top spinner in his armoury which makes him a very big threat. The importance of a leg spinner is well known in T20s. The raise of the art of leg spin and how important they are in a T20 side coincided with the raise of Rashid Khan in international arena.

Rashid finds it difficult to bowl to these batters

During this difficult times of quarantining where there’s absolutely no cricketing action whatsoever it is well known that cricketers are engaging in live interactive sessions with other cricketers in Instagram or having a fun time with question answer sessions in Twitter. Likewise it was Rashid Khan’s turn to have a candid chat with popular sports presenter Jatin Sapru.

When asked about whom Rashid Khan himself found tough to bowl to, the Afghan captain named 3 dangerous batters. The 21-year-old admitted that he found bowling to Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, and Hardik Pandya really difficult during his career.

The fear factor

Rashid Khan has staggering numbers. He has 89 wickets in just 48 T20I matches at an average of 12. His IPL numbers also make a great reading. He has 55wkts in 46 matches and his economy of under 7 in the most competitive T20 league is actually world class. He has been a hot selling cake in other T20 leagues around the world such as the Big Bash league, The Carribbean premier league, The Vitality blast etc.

The IPL is where Rashid would come to face with Hardik Pandya where the leggie would turn up for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Andre Russell and Chris Gayle face Rashid in IPL as well as in the aforementioned leagues. The sheer fear factor surrounding these monstrous hitters is what makes them dangerous and has prompted Rashid to name these as the toughest to bowl to.
