Pakistan women will be touring South Africa for a proposed T20I and ODI series which will commence from 06th of May. It would be a 3 match ODI series followed by 5 T20Is starting from May 15. The first ODI will be played at the Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.
As the two teams gear up for this challenge, the Proteas women will be without the services of their skipper Dane van Niekerk who is still recovering from a stress fracture of the right femur. Sunne Luus who led the Proteas women in the ODI series against Sri Lanka when Dane van Niekerk was forced to step out due to injury, has been named as the skipper for this as well.
The visitors Pakistan women are also struck with injury concerns as their medium pacer Diana Baig has been ruled out from the series due to a thumb injury. 17-year old uncapped pacer Fatima Sana has been named as her replacement in the set-up.
It is always very crucial to start with a win especially when it is a 3-match series. Any lapse is what either side would look to hamper and it would be interesting to see which side will take the upper hand.

Pakistan women:
The visitors batting will heavily rely on the likes of Bismah Maroof the skipper and Javeria Khan. The duo has a lot of experience under their belt and will be the key factor for their sides.
In the bowling department, the experience of Sana Mir will be very crucial for their cause, while Sidra Nawaz and Nida Dar will be the key picks as well.
South Africa women:
The hosts will be playing under a new skipper Sunne Luus who has been a terrific performer with the ball in recent times. She got a 5-fer in the last ODI series against Sri Lanka at home. Wicket-keeper batter Lizelle Lei, vice-captain Chloe Tryon and all-rounder Marizanne Kapp are the experienced cogs in this line-up.
It is an inexperienced bowling line-up for the hosts barring Shabnim Ismail who is supposed to lead the bowling attack. Zintle Mali and T Sekhukhune will be the other reliable bowling options.
