Being on number 3 and 4 can be tricky in a T20 league Points Table. Even if you win a match, you will have to beat the team that lost the qualifier. And if you lose, You’re out. The match just holds too much importance to handle.
For Peshawar Zalmi in their last match against Lahore, Hasan Ali and Sameen Gul started well with the ball and took 3 wickets between them. Hasan being his usual best. But runs leaked elsewhere, and 173 was the target to be chased. Then came Kamran Akmal with his 107, an innings that took his team to the Eliminators, his 107 came just in 61 balls. They chased down the target with 7 wickets remaining.
Though qualified for the Eliminators, Quetta Gladiators are not coming with a good form in this match. They have lost their last two matches in the tournament, and will have to work hard to win this one. In their last match against Islamabad, only Sarfaraz Ahmed’s 43 was a significant score in total of 147. Rahat Ali took 2 wickets, but was expensive. Mir Hamza bowled decent and claimed one wicket. Islamabad won with 6 wickets in hand.
