This year they begin their title defense with a strong squad at disposal. All-rounder Anton Devcich, Daniel Flynn, Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi will be the few known names featuring in the match.
Wellington Firebirds will be hoping fly high this season after facing the heat last year. They ended fifth among six teams as they managed to win only three matches from their 10 attempts. They won the ODD competition Ford Trophy this year and will be hoping to clinch the double. Jimmy Neesham and Hamish Bennett will be the key players on show.

Daryl Mitchell, Daniel Flynn and Brett Hampton make up the middle order.
Daryl Mitchell and Scott Kuggeleijn are both the medium pace all-rounders and value for money players.
Mitchell Santner is returning after being out for nine months due to injury. He will be supporting the lead spinner Ish Sodhi.
Brett Randell will lead the pace attack along with other all-rounders. Zak Gibson is another option for medium pace but he is likely to miss out. If NK wishes to strengthen the bowling, they can use Gibson for Bocock.
Wellington Firebirds:
They have announced the 13-man squad for the match.
Firebirds have signed the English top-order batsman Adam Hose. He is likely to open the innings with wicketkeeper Tom Blundell.
Along with a promising youngster in Troy Johnson, Michael Bracewell and Devon Conway complete the middle order.
Jimmy Neesham and Malcolm Nofal are the seaming all-rounders.
Ollie Newton and Captain Hamish Bennett complete the pace bowling lineup.
Michael Pollard and Luke Woodcock may have to miss out as Wellington wants to back its youngsters.
