The last time the two teams squared off was in the playoffs in which Bengaluru sealed a 2-1 win to book a place in the finals.

The Blues have several new faced in the squad such as Manuel Onwu who comes in as a replacement for Miku.
Head coach, Carles Cuadrat has recently brought in Ashqiue Kuruniya to fill in the flanks. Eugeneson Lyndoh is back in the team after a stint in ATK last season. Raphael Augusto has also joined Bengaluru from Chennaiyin FC.
Keeping aside Miku, Bengaluru will also be without Xisco and Alex Barrera who have left the club.
Northeast United
The semi-finalists of 2018-19 season are also without quite a few important figureheads this year. Eelco Schatorri is now the new manager of Kerala Blasters and has brought along Bartholomew Ogbeche, TP Rehnesh and Seityasen Singh to strengthen Kerala.
Northeast United is now under the managerial leadership of Robert Jarni. Players such as Asamoah Gyan, Maximilliano Barrera, and Milan Singh are new personnel who have been brought in by the club.

The last time the two clubs squared off was in the semi-finals of the ISL. Northeast United won the home leg 2-1 before Bengaluru bounced back with a 3-0 win as they advanced to the finals on aggregate.
In terms of players to watch out for Sunil Chhetri will be the main man in attack for his side and can prove to be pivotal this season. The Indian captain scored nine goals from 19 games last season and was the fourth-highest goal scorer last season.
Jose Leudo should be looked upon in midfield for NorthEast United. Leudo can play the anchor role for his side this season.
