Now that the BCCI have come up with an idea to conduct a farewell match for the man with a midas touch. Although nothing is confirmed yet, the news has been doing rounds in the social media in the past few days.
It is a known secret that MS Dhoni is a man who loves to be simple and is far away from controversies. The fact that after having achieved everything in his career, he decided to announce his retirement through social media and not through a press release itself shows how he likes to stay away from the limelight.
In a recent development, one of the BCCI officials said to The New Indian Express that,
There is no international series right now, maybe after IPL we will see what can be done because Dhoni has done a lot for the nation and he deserves all the respect. The BCCI have left out MS Dhoni from the centrally contracted players and with the latest statement from the official stating that Dhoni announced his retirement when nobody was thinking of it is something that is clearly contradicting.
Although the answer for the question lies at the hands of MS Dhoni, the fans will be praying for such an event to happen so that they can see their idol in the blue jersey once again.
Now that, MS Dhoni has retired from International cricket, all he can do is to play for CSK. With age catching up, it will be interesting to see how he takes things forward from here. With the CSK owner confirming that they won’t be releasing MS Dhoni from their team, only Dhoni knows the answer for how long he is going to play IPL.
