Mohammad Amir won’t play World XI series: Sarfraz Ahmed

Pakistan’s fast bowler Mohammad Amir will not be available in the series against World XI in Lahore. The Pakistan Cricket team captain sarfaraz ahmed confirmed on Monday (September 11th). Sohail Khan has been included in the team as cover.

Mohammed Amir and his wife are still in England and are waiting for the birth of their first child. Therefore, Mohammed Amir will have to wait to play international match in Pakistan. So far, Amir has not played any international match in Pakistan.

“There is no change of plan as we had already named a 16-man squad with Sohail Khan as an extra bowler with Amir expecting his first baby,” Pakistan captain Sarfraz ahmed said. “Unfortunately he isn’t available, but we have full options available.”

This series is returning to international cricket in Pakistan. There is no international match after the attack on Sri Lanka in 2009 in Pakistan.

The T20 series will begin on September 12. Apart from this, the second match will be played on 13th and the third and final match on September 15. All these matches will be played among the security of the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
