Mumbai Indian and invincible Chennai Super Kings will face off against each other in the 15th fixture of Indian Premier League 2019 on April 3. Mumbai Indians had an imbalance start in this season and have been giving their best to revive themselves back in the contention. While Chennai Super Kings have been running according to their fans expectation so far in this tournament.
Mumbai Indians is trailing at the bottom-half of the IPL points table with one victory in three games. Talking about CSK, it’s no surprise that CSK is again leading the points table with three wins in their three matches.
CSK would be looking forward to continuing their winning streak, whereas Mumbai Indians would do anything to get them out of this unfavourable situation that they have seen since the start of the tournament.
Mumbai Indians:
Having a bunch of talented players, yet Mumbai makes some terrible mistakes with the bat as well as with the ball. Their last encounter against King XI Punjab was nothing but obnoxious gameplay. They have played a vital role in dragging themselves towards the defeat. Mumbai must avoid all those inaccuracies that they have been carrying with them in the last three matches.
Kieron Pollard has been consistently performing below expectations, and this can result in Ben Cutting acquiring his place in the next match.
There are chances that Lasith Malinga might be seen on the bench after not delivering what was expected out of him. He is unable to stop runs or pick wickets. South African bowler Alzarri Joseph is expected to replace him against CSK.
Chennai Super Kings:
The team Chennai Super Kings must be surrounded by confidence all around after tremendous victory against Rajasthan Royals. No other batsmen took responsibility for CSK, and it was the captain cool who scored 75 runs off 46 balls and took his team to defend a decent total of 175 runs. Almost close to glory, Rajasthan were just eight runs short and lost the game against CSK.
Chennai has played their last three games on slow tracks, so they have to be prepared for the pitch conditions at Wankhede, Mumbai. Wankhede is one of the highest scoring ground of IPL, so all the eyes would be on their batting line up.
Talking about the bowling strength, Jadeja has had bad memories at such venues, so Tahir and Bravo need to come up with tactics to clinch Mumbai’s batting line up.
