Leicestershire Foxes will be up against Worcestershire in their next North Group game and would be looking for their first win of the season here. The match will be played at their home ground at the Grace Road in Leicester.
Worcestershire have started their campaign on a positive note after winning their opening game against Lancashire by 125 runs. Batting first, Worcestershire posted a mammoth 367 on the board in 49.1 overs courtesy twin hundreds from Daryl Mitchell (101 off 81) and opener Hamish Rutherford (108 off 95). The score proved too much for Lancashire as they perished under pressure for 242 runs in 42.4 overs. Josh Tongue, Wayne Parnell, and Daryl Mitchell who was brilliant with the bat as well were the pick of the bowlers claiming 2 wickets each.
Leicestershire Foxes, on the other hand, are coming into this encounter after two heavy defeats back-to-back against Yorkshire Vikings by 213 runs and against Durham Jets by 6 wickets. Both losses have hindered their performance and confidence and it would be interesting to see what will be their response after two torrid games.
