Lancashire start their English Domestic One Day Cup campaign against Worcestershire Rapids at Old Trafford on Wednesday. Lancashire had a forgetful season last year in the 50-over format, managing 3 wins out of eight completed games. Their opponent for the fixture, Worcestershire were excellent in the league stage last year as they finished at the top of North Group points table with six wins in eight games. However, the Rapids were stopped in the thrilling semi-final against Kent.
The two sides would be looking to better the performances this year. Lancashire would look to start on a positive note and try for the good showing in the round robin stage to start with. Meanwhile, Worcestershire Rapids would want to go a step further from where they finished last year.
