As the excitement and the tradition of English Domestic One-Day Cup rolls on, eight games are lined-up for the second day of the competition. One of those eight matches will feature Lancashire and Nottinghamshire, where Lancashire will be playing their second match of the season while Nottinghamshire will be playing their first match of this season.
This is a North Group game which will be played at the Trentbridge in Nottingham which is the home ground for Nottinghamshire Outlaws. The Outlaws were in the playoffs last season after finishing second in the North Group table. They lost to Kent Spitfires in an all-important playoff game which dented their hopes of featuring in the semi-finals.
Lancashire, on the other hand, had a disastrous campaign last year and have not started the way they would have liked this year as well. In their opening game of this season, they lost to Worcestershire by a hefty margin of 125 runs as they failed to chase a mammoth total of 367 runs.
