The home of Cricket i.e. Lord’s cricket ground will be hosting the second quarterfinal of Royal One-Day Cup which will see Lancashire and Middlesex locking horns with each other to book a semi-final date on May 12th i.e. Sunday.
Lancashire finished third in the North Group points table with 5 wins and 3 loss from eight matches. However, Lancashire are coming into the match on the back of a defeat at the hands of Warwickshire Bears by 5 wickets via DL Method. They missed an opportunity to finish atop in North Group after losing their previous match, but here they are now competing in the second Quarterfinal against Middlesex.
Meanwhile, Middlesex finished second in South Group just behind the reigning champions Hampshire. They finished the league stage with a tally of 12 points after winning 6 matches from 8 matches. They lost two encounters in the process at the hands of Sussex Sharks and the defending champions Hampshire.
