The ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was brought to a standstill right before the knock out stages due to cornavirus pandemic. The four teams that had qualified for the semi-finals were Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zaalmi, Lahore Qalandars and the Karachi Kings. In the first semi-final it will be the table toppers Multan Sultans who take on Peshawar who finished at fourth. With the Pakistan Super League (PSL) brought on hold, there are speculations from around the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) going around that the knockout stages of the tournament might commence in November later this year. The final few league games did take place behind closed door, but more than a handful of overseas players left Pakistan to head home amidst the outbreak.
