LAC vs SAS DREAM11 Match Preview, Fantasy Team News

San Antonio Spurs take the road trip for the first time this season as they take on Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center.

The Clippers started the new season with two straight wins, including the season-opener 112-102 win over cross-city rivals Los Angeles Lakers. It was the result which certainly put them in good light with NBA pundits who took no time in placing them as favorites for the championship this season.

It’s no exaggeration by any stretch of the imagination. Clippers are still without All-Star Paul George and have the best bench in NBA at the moment. With Golden State Warriors getting significantly weaker, Houston rockets’ ever-present defensive woes, and Los Angeles Lakers’ over-dependence on LeBron James and Anthony Davis, there is a belief NBA is there is to take for any team.

And San Antonio Spurs will like to have their say in the championship. They have made a very good start to the new season, winning the first three games. That said, this will be Spurs’ first game away, and is the biggest test yet for Gregg Popovich’s team.

Fantasy Picks:

Kawhi Leonard: The reigning NBA Finals MVP is the best player in NBA at the moment. He played a starry role in Toronto Raptors’ championship run last season. He is more than capable of repeating the feat.

Lou Williams: He is head perhaps the best sixth man in NBA at the moment. The 32-year-old Cameroonian topped the scoring charts from the bench last season, and he is repeating the feat this season as well.

Montrezl Harrell: He will be challenging Lou Williams for the best sixth man. The 25-year-old power forward, who can also play as a Center, can fetch you some good points here.

DeMar DeRozan: never wanted to Toronto Raptors, and had an average season last year by his own standards. But the 30-year-old has made a good start to the new season, leading the team in scoring charts with 22 points per game.

Team News:

Clippers: Kawhi Leonard was rested against Phoenix Suns due to load management, as per Doc Rivers. The two-time NBA champion is expected to start the game against his former team.

Clippers will be dealing with Paul George’s absence for the next couple of weeks. He is on rehab and is back in non-contact drills. Amir Coffey (ankle) will miss the match.

Clippers squad:

Spurs news: Gregg Popovich has a clean bill of health ahead of this game.

Spurs to choose from:

LaMarcus Aldridge, Lonnie Walker, Marco Belinelli, Bryn Forbes, Dejounte Murray, DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Pöltl, Derrick White, Patty Mills, Chimezie Metu, DeMarre Carroll, Rudy Ga, Trey Lyles, Drew Eubanks, Luka Šamanić, Keldon Johnson, Quinndary Weatherspoon
