Two city-rivals in Los Angeles will open their 2019-20 season together as Los Angeles Clippers host Los Angeles Lakers in the season-opener at Staples Center, on Wednesday morning (IST).
Both the teams made significant changes to their roster this season and have every right to believe that they can go all the way towards achieving the ultimate glory.
Lakers, in particular, have a lot riding on this campaign. They haven’t been good enough in the last few years, missing out on the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season last year. Now all the talk of LeBron James not having enough support is gone after Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard, coupled with other notable addition, joined the team in the offseason.
Lakers should qualify for the playoffs this time around without facing any problem.
While Los Angeles Clippers did make the playoffs last season without facing any problem whatsoever. But the targets should be loftier this season after Kawhi Leonard and Paul George signes with the Clippers.
