Kolkata Knight Riders will face off Sunrisers Hyderabad in their second match of Indian Premier League in Abu Dhabi tonight. Both Kolkata and Hyderabad have lost their first match to Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore respectively and now will be fighting against each other to register their first win of this IPL season.

Kolkata Knight Riders’ strength is their batting as they have a good opening pair of Shubman Gill and Sunil Narine who will look to give good start. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s main strength is their opening pair of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow who have been very consistent in this format for a few years and like last year they have to continue giving good starts and the bowling attack of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma and T Natrajan can trouble any batting line up.
Weaknesses :
Kolkata Knight Riders’ weakness is their bowling attack as Pat Cummins and Kuldeep Yadav looked out of touch in the first match. Cummins has been out of form since the return of cricket and in the first match he just kept bowling lengths ball which was a bad plan against batsmen like Rohit Sharma so they need to bowl according to opposition batsmen’s weaknesses and in the batting Nitish Rana and Dinesh Karthik should work on strike rotation and Eoin Morgan should be promoted to number 4 and Andre Russell can be used according to match situation.
On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s major weakness is their fragile middle order like we saw against Royal Challengers Bangalore as they collapsed from 121/2 to 153 all out. Manish Pandey needs to step up batting at number 3 and Hyderabad should also pick Kane Williamson who can strengthen their batting and it will also release some pressure from Warner and Bairstow.
