The reigning champions Hampshire will begin their title defence against Kent, the runner-up of last year’s Royal London One Day Cup, in Canterbury on Wednesday. Riding high on the confidence of last year’s triumph, Hampshire would come out looking for an encore. If Hampshire can put up performances similar to last year, who knows they can successfully defend the title.
Kent would come out to avenge the defeat of last year’s final and make a statement to start their campaign this year. They must be at top of their game if they are to a step further.
