Ireland and Windies will be squaring off in the first match of the triangular series which will be played at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Dublin. Apart from Windies and the hosts Ireland, Bangladesh is the third team which will contest in this triangular series.
Ireland are coming into this contest after getting tamed by England in their last ODI by 4 runs. It was a low scoring contest where Ireland batting first were bundled out for 198, and in reply England, after some hiccups managed to reach the target with 4 wickets to spare.
With the IPL going on, the Windies cricket board has allowed all their players involved in the IPL to take part which includes the likes of Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Carlos Brathwaite Shimron Hetmyer, Oshane Thomas etc. However, skipper Jason Holder who was playing in the Royal One-day Cup has joined the squad and will be leading the side in the series.
This series will be good preparation for the upcoming World Cup for both Bangladesh and Windies as the conditions here in Ireland will be similar to England. Both teams will look to do well to kick-start their preparations.
