Ireland last played in the T20 World Cup Qualifier where they won three games and last two matches. They had a successful tournament, however, ended up losing in the final against UAE.
India, on the other hand, come on the back of a 2-2 series draw against South Africa at home. They lost the first two games of the series but came back strong in the next two matches to win them both and level the series. However, the final T20I was washed out due to rain.
Ireland and India have faced each other on only three occasions in T20Is. India have dominated out rightly by winning all three of those matches. With momentum on their side, they will start as favorites to beat hosts Ireland in the first T20I.
