Ireland won by 25 runs in their last match against Scotland. With Balbirnie’s century, and O’Brien brothers firing up, Ireland made 271 batting first. Scotland in reply fell 25 runs short, as Rankin took 4 wickets, while Murtagh, McCarthy and Simi Singh taking 2 each. In an important match like this, Ireland again would need the O’Brien brothers and Rankin to be on their best.
