IPL 2020: The auction for the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League will be held in Kolkata on December 19. A total of 332 players have been shortlisted for the auction after the list was trimmed from initial 991 players by the IPL Governing Council.
The shortlist has 19 Indian capped players and 24 new entrants, including the likes of Kesrick Williams and Adam Zampa. Robin Uthappa has the highest base price of Rs 1.5 crore among Indians, followed by Jaydev Unadkat who has set his base price at Rs 1 crore.
Compared to the past IPL auctions, it has a relatively smaller pool with 73 slots to fill by eight franchises, out of which 29 will be overseas players.
Glenn Maxwell, Eoin Morgan, Chris Lynn and Pat Cummins are the most sought after players. Chris Morris, Aaron Finch and Jason Roy are among others who may start the bidding war.
IPL 2020 auction will start at 10 AM IST on December 19.
