The Rose Bowl in Southampton will be playing the host for the 8th match of ICC World Cup 2019 which will be played between the two-time champions India and one of the semi-finalists of last year i.e. South Africa.
India’s World Cup campaign will kick-start from this match, whereas, the Proteas will be playing their third game of the tournament. The Proteas have lost both their games so far which has put them under immense pressure to register a win against India.
This would be India’s first assignment after their home series loss against Australia earlier this year. They would be eyeing to make a mark right from the word ‘go’ and taming South Africa would be the best way to kick-start their campaign. As far as the Proteas are concerned, it will be an uphill task for them to unsettle India especially after they suffered two back-to-back defeats.
