Hello and Welcome to our preview for India vs New Zealand ODI match. We are covering IND vs NZ Dream11 team Prediction, Preview and Probable Playing XI for the first ODI match. The match is to be played at the McLean Park, Napier.
Comfortably, England and India are the two best teams currently in the ODI cricket. The ICC rankings are also in agreement with this. The only team who is pushing these two giants is the Kane Williamson’s New Zealand. India and New Zealand now meet for five ODIs, this will be the toughest test for both the teams before the World Cup.
India demolished weakened Australia in Australia in all the formats. They now set off to the neighbouring island for a limited overs duel. Virat Kohli and the team have not played a lot of cricket in this land and it will be a fresh experience for these men. India still has a few questions to answer and they will seek solutions in this series.
New Zealand is having a phenomenal time in international cricket. Their batting is better than ever with Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor at the peak. Henry Nicholls, Martin Guptill and others have been performing from time to time as well. The all-rounders and bowling department are overflowing with talents as well. Victory over India will give them the much-needed fillip before the World Cup.

India:
BCCI’s ineptitude in the talk show controversy means Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul will not be featuring in this series. Vijay Shankar and Shubman Gill replace them.
India made plenty of changes in the third ODI against Australia. Chahal and Kedar Jadhav proved their worth in the side. Vijay Shankar and Ravindra Jadeja were ineffective.
The top three – Rohit-Dhawan-Virat – remain untouched. Kedar Jadhav’s bowling puts him ahead of Ambati Rayudu. Dhoni may bat at four, followed by Jadhav and Dinesh Karthik.
India will be tempted to play both Kuldeep and Chahal but in order to do that, they will need to include the all-rounder Vijay Shankar. Otherwise, they may opt for Jadeja and Khaleel Ahmed in place of Kuldeep and Shankar.
Mohammad Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will handle the opening and closing of the bowling innings.
New Zealand:
Tom Latham, Colin de Grandhomme and Mitchell Santner return to the squad for the first three ODIs. They are taking the places of Tim Seifert, Jimmy Neesham and Todd Astle.
The NZ batting lineup is easy to predict. Munro-Guptill followed by Williamson and Taylor should make a compelling top four. Wicketkeeper Tom Latham and Henry Nicholls complete top six.
Ish Sodhi and Mitchell Santer will take the next slots if NZ plays with two spinners. They may replace Sodhi with Colin de Grandhomme for a seam option.
The home team has been rotating its pace bowlers. Three from the four of Southee, Boult, Ferguson and Henry will feature. Matt Henry may sit out for the first ODI.
