The third T20I of the ongoing bilateral series between India and Australia is set to unfold in Guwahati on Tuesday. India, despite missing key players, has dominated the series, securing back-to-back victories to claim a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
The Indian team, boasting a second-string lineup, showcased formidable batting prowess by surpassing the 200-run mark in both encounters. Their victories in the first and second matches, secured by two wickets and 44 runs respectively, have placed them in a commanding position.
The second game witnessed stellar performances from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ishan Kishan, all of whom struck impressive half-centuries, propelling India to a formidable total of 235 runs for the loss of just four wickets. The bowling duo of Ravi Bishnoi and Prasidh Krishna shone bright, claiming a combined six wickets to seal the victory for the Indian team.
With two consecutive wins under their belt, India aims to clinch the series early with another triumph in the upcoming match at the Barsapara Stadium.
On the other hand, Australia, despite putting up a competitive fight, finds itself trailing behind. While players like Marcus Stoinis and Matthew Wade showcased promising performances in the previous match, their efforts fell short in securing a win against the formidable Indian side.
As the teams gear up for the third showdown, both India and Australia are anticipated to bring their A-game to the field in a bid to claim victory and sway the series in their favor.
