We have almost entered the final phase of the U-19 Asia Cup 2019 and soon a team would have an opportunity to lift the majestic trophy. The final four to enter this phase are – India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.

The first semi-finals of 2019 edition U-19 Asia will take place between India-U19 and Sri Lanka-U19 at the P Sara Oval, Colombo on Wednesday. 

Sri Lanka were offered their first loss of the tournament last time out by the Group B Table topper Bangladesh.

Opening with the bat, Bangladesh Opener M Hasan Joy went to smash 126 runs off 138 balls and helped his team to register a mammoth 273 runs on the scoreboard. In the reply, no Sri Lankan batsmen couldn’t go past 50 runs and were restricted for 231 runs.

Meanwhile, India played their final group stage game against Afghanistan and faced a bit of hurdle while chasing the target. Opting to bat first, Afghanistan knew it wouldn’t be easy facing of Indian bowling line up and following the fact, they were bowling out for 124 runs and with three wickets remaining, India Youth chased down the target in 38.4 overs.

The match is set to begin at 9:30 AM IST.

• Arjun Azad and Sahil Arora will be seen opening the innings for India.
